Sonic Frontiers 2023 content roadmap revealed; New holiday-themed DLC available in December

Sonic Frontiers has proven to be a successful project for Sonic Team and SEGA. While the game is quite challenging, the game seems to have managed to become a well-received game by critics and fans alike. However, it looks like the journey isn’t going to end anytime soon, as the development team has revealed a roadmap for the game’s upcoming 2023 update.

This roadmap includes: New modes, the new Koco, And more story content for players to take part in. The roadmap doesn’t say exactly when this new content will be released, but it will happen in 2023. This update roadmap hints at a lot of the content that will be available to Sonic Frontiers players. Most noteworthy is definitely the new story update that brings new playable characters. In other words, it looks like the supporting cast of Knuckles, Amy, and Tails will become playable.

Now, that doesn’t mean there aren’t more updates for this year. Sonic Team and SEGA have announced that new DLC dedicated to celebrating the upcoming holidays will be available on December 21st.

The “Holiday Cheer” DLC will be available to Sonic Frontiers players at no additional cost. Whether the upcoming updates included in the roadmap will have any cost or will also be offered as free updates is yet to be seen. Sonic Frontiers is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S and PC.
