Monster Hunter Rise will be a digital only release on PlayStation and Xbox

Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Rise on PlayStation and Xbox will not be available at retail.

With Monster Hunter Rise releasing on PlayStation and Xbox consoles without the Sunbreak expansion, there is a chance that Capcom will release a full version of the game, but as of now, those who want to own the retail version of the game have no other choice than to purchase the Nintendo Switch version.

Monster Hunter Rise and Sunbreak are now available on PC and Nintendo Switch. The base game will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S on January 20th.
