Horizon Forbidden West DLC teased by Known Leaker

Guerrilla Games might be preparing a Horizon Forbidden West DLC if Latest tweet encrypted by leaker The Snitch is believable.

The picture on the map of California certainly looks like the Aloy outpost. This could refer to the long-awaited Burning Shores expansion, as reported by Insider Gaming, which is going a step further and believes that the Horizon Forbidden West DLC will be released in April 2023. That would be just over a year after the release of the main game that took place in February 2022.

Since we’re only two days away from The Game Awards 2022, it’s reasonable to expect the Horizon Forbidden West DLC to be revealed in Geoff Keighley’s show. A couple of months ago, fans’ hopes were renewed after actor Lance Reddick (who plays the character Silence) mentioned he was working on a new session for the game.

It’s a huge expansion moment for the Horizon series. Forbidden West did very well, receiving solid scores (including a 9/10 from Wccftech) across the board, even if it was slightly overshadowed by FromSoftware’s Elden Ring’s near release. There’s a show coming soon as PlayStation VR2’s flagship launch title, Horizon Call of the Mountain, has been developed with the help of Firesprite. The main character will be a Shadow Carja warrior named Ryas, although Aloy will also appear in the game.

A Netflix TV adaptation is in the works with The Umbrella Academy showrunner Steve Blackman directing the show. Furthermore, there have been strong rumors of a possible PS5 remake of the first installment, of the multiplayer game Horizon, and even a full-fledged MMO developed by NCSoft (the maker of Lineage and the upcoming MMORPG Throne and Liberty). The latter two projects could be one and the same, anyway, as it wouldn’t make sense for two Horizon games online together.
