Diablo IV drops a cinematic apocalypse trailer, confirms a release date, and opens pre-orders

Diablo IV has been kind of a leak in the boat lately, with its June release date revealed by a report from The Washington Post and insiders who revealed the various special editions of the game. However, Blizzard still made a big show of making it all official at The Game Awards, introducing an eye-opening new trailer, confirming the release date, and opening up pre-orders.

As for this new trailer, it’s usually epic, as Blizzard’s cinematic tends to be. We see a huge battle between the forces of Heaven and Hell, as once the archangel Einarius against the daughter of Hatred, Lilith. Check out the scene for yourself below.

Pre-orders for Diablo IV are now open, and those who pre-order the game will get early access to the open beta. Unfortunately, we don’t have a date for this open beta yet. Didn’t you catch up with Diablo IV? Here is a brief official description…

“The endless battle between the high heavens and the burning inferno rages on as chaos threatens to consume sanctuary. With constant demons to slay, endless abilities to master, terrifying dungeons, and legendary loot, this vast world brings the promise of adventure and destruction.”

Activision Blizzard has faced a series of lawsuits and other legal actions in the wake of a lawsuit brought by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) alleging widespread gender discrimination and sexual harassment at the Call of Duty publisher. You can get more details about that unfolding story here.

Diablo IV launches on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5 on June 6, 2023.
