Them’s Fightin’ Herds brought Texas to its December 19 roster

fighting games and DLC fighters; A combination that is more popular these days than ever before. Sin Kiske came out two weeks ago in Guilty Gear Strive, just as an example. Anyway, a few months ago, Them’s Fightin’ Herds revealed that a season pass was in the works, which will include four brand new characters joining the roster.

The first of these, Texas, was revealed at the same time, with a new stage coming with it. Earlier today, the Mane6 development team released a full trailer for Texas, showing off more of his moveset, including special moves, super moves, and more. You can watch the new trailer below.

The Texan’s moveset features the characteristics of many of the other fighting characters within, and is a bit of a visual marvel to see in action. BlazBlue fans may understand that his general goal with some of his mores is to drag you into it, putting you in a space to grab orders, like Iron Tager. There are also a number of nods to other fighting games, with his super level 1 looking like one of Krizalid’s greats in The King of Fighters ’99.

When that super is enhanced with another super rod, an extra stone wall spawns behind it, effectively taking out the rest of the stage. Compared to other fighting game characters, one of them, in particular, also possesses this unique trait: Aganus In killer instinct. However, it’s not clear if the Texans can do the same thing that Aganos can do and beat people through pre-placed walls for big damage bonuses.

The Texas stage, Caravan Cattledome, will also be included in the December 19th update. The next three DLC characters will be released throughout 2023.

We will continue to update as more information is released about Them’s Fightin’ Herds, and its DLC. Them’s Fightin’ Herds is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
