The Skyrim Mod adds Kingdom Come Deliverance-like combat

Tired of Skyrim’s somewhat weak combat system? This new combat for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition shakes things up a bit.

Combat has always been one of the weakest aspects of The Elder Scrolls series, and combat in Skyrim is no different. Fortunately, the “Machinegod420” modder has now released a mod that adds a Kingdom Come Deliverance and For Honor-like directional combat system to the latest Elder Scrolls.

“Want something more realistic (but not that real) than your usual RPG?” , wrote the designer. “Tired of jumping and rolling instead of bumping into swords? Want more depth in your martial arts combat? Then this mod is for you!”

“This is a directional combat style, inspired by several sword fighting games like Kingdom Come Deliverance and Mordhau but not an exact copy of any of them, just taking the mechanics from them. It aims to add new mechanics and depth to the combat system relatively in Skryim at the moment.”

It should be noted that using this mode makes the 1 vs 1 encounters in the game very difficult. As such, Machinegod420 recommends using a mod like the “Wait Your Turn” mod from “Monitor144” to add a spinning behavior to enemies.

Key features of this interesting new mod include damage changes, stagger system, changes to movement speed, stamina system, Masterstrike mechanic, and more. We’ve included a video of the mode in action below:
