Yesterday, Infinity Ward and Raven Software released the reloaded Season 1 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.
The free reloaded Season 1 update introduces several noteworthy additions. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 owners can look forward to checking out the first PvE raid ever released for the franchise, Atomgrad Episode 1. Raid episodes are designed for teams of three and will be released seasonally; The narrative will continue from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s five-season campaign.
To access the raid, you must obtain a Raid mission, which can be unlocked by completing one of the following:
- Complete a specific daily challenge in either Multiplayer or Special Ops.
- Place in the top 20 of any Warzone 2.0 Battle Royale playlist.
- In the DMZ, use the ultimate exfil helicopter with at least $30,000 cash.
Once obtained, the raid mission will last for one week. Only one player needs to set an active raid in order to access the raid. However, there is no matchmaking involved – it’s up to you to build your team.
Raid drops are randomly selected and completing a raid multiple times will unlock different rewards, including Veteran status.
According to the official Call of Duty Twitter accountThe rewards for completing Atomgrade Episode 1 on Normal difficulty include:
Gas: convoy skin (guaranteed)
• One of the seven items in a Raid loot can be a player card, emblem, loading screen or unique weapon blueprint
On the other hand, completing Atomgrade Episode 1 at the Veteran level provides the following rewards:
Unique weapon blueprint (guaranteed)
• One of the seven items in a Raid loot can be a player card, emblem, loading screen or unique weapon blueprint.
The reloaded Season 1 also adds the iconic cargo map to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. From December 21, 2022 through New Years through January 4, 2023, the map will also feature holiday-themed decorations.
On the front of Warzone 2.0, Season 01 Reloaded adds a new area (Building 21), two new Operators (Gaz and Klaus), and two limited-time modes. The first, clearly inspired by the ongoing FIFA World Cup, is called the War Cup.
This limited-time mode brings two teams of three customers to Al-Asimah Stadium, home of one of Al-Mazraa Football Club’s league rivals. Here, they will have special ATVs with pulse capability to propel a massive soccer ball into the other team’s goal. Collect and throw Shock Sticks to stop your opponents or boost through enemy vehicles to get them out of the way!
The first team to score five goals, or the team with the most goals at the end of the five-minute time limit, wins the match.
A standard addition is the return of Mini Royale, which is a condensed version of the regular Battle Royale mode. Last but not least, DMZ mode saw significant nerfs to AI fighters, both in terms of their damage and sheer numbers.
