The open world Superman Unreal Engine 5 looks great

A new concept video for the open world Superman Unreal Engine 5 has been released, and it looks pretty cool.

After the public release of Unreal Engine 5 earlier this year, several concept videos for the game using the new Epic Engine have been released. One of those videos was a flying Superman demo based on Epic’s The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience demo.

For years, DC fans have been hoping for a proper new Superman title, and despite rumors claiming that Warner Bros. and Rocksteady could be working on such a game, there has been no official announcement in any way. So what would a proper open-world Superman title look like on current hardware? This concept video from YouTube and artist “TeaserPlay” might give you an impression.

This Unreal Engine 5 visualization features advanced visuals complete with Lumen, Nanite, and Ray Tracing. Additionally, the concept video shows traversing outer space allowing Superman to leave Earth at any moment. The concept is pretty cool and it shows the possibility of running a new Superman title in a new game engine. Of course, as always with UE5 concept videos, this is just a fan-created concept video. Check out the video below and judge for yourself:

As reported in 2020, Rocksteady allegedly offered the Superman title to Warner Bros. Pictures. , but the publisher said the project had passed.
