Over the past two weeks, the Galaxy S23 series has been getting a lot of interest. With the launch less than two weeks ago, it’s clear we’re going to see plenty of leaks coming our way, and today it’s no different than the full specs of the base variant have leaked online.
The leak comes from the always reliable WinFuture and talks about what the Galaxy S23 and its Plus variant will come with. By looking at the specs, one can easily tell that these are repetitive upgrades at best.
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are recurring upgrades, at best
Let’s start with the base Galaxy S23. You will get a 6.1 inch AMOLED display with 48-120Hz variable refresh rate, HDR10+, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The thickness of the phone is just 7.6mm. On the front, you get a 12MP selfie camera capable of 4K/60FPS recording. On the back, you get a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
So what about the Galaxy S23+? Well, the plug-in variant will offer a larger 6.6-inch display with a larger 4,700mAh battery compared to the 3,900mAh battery in the younger sibling. Another difference is in charging speeds, with the Plus variant supporting faster 45W wired charging instead of 25W in the base variant.
You’ll also get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and the base variant will have 8GB of RAM and a choice of 128 or 256GB of storage. The Plus variant will go up to 512GB in terms of storage.
The Galaxy S23 and the Plus variant will be available in Black, Cotton, Green, and Purple. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, we don’t have any information on pricing but in the coming days, you’ll have some understanding of what the price will be, along with more information about the big bad Galaxy S23 Ultra.
