The Deathloop actor teases something new on the way

It’s been almost a year and a half since the release of Deathloop, the first-person shooter titled in Arkane Lyon’s time loop. As with most games released by the studio, it was not a huge commercial success, but it proved popular with critics and core gamers. It also won several awards, including Best Game Direction and Best Art Direction at last year’s Game Awards.

A new rumor inadvertently started by Colt Van voice actor Jason Kelly may hint at a Deathloop DLC or sequel already in the works. Appearing in a video interview hosted by Streamily last month, Kelly was accompanied by Ozioma Akagha, who voices Curse’s Colt Julianna Blake.

At one point in the interview, Kelly was asked if he remembered the codenames Arkan was using for his Deathloop auditions. He replied that both actors were still working under these codenames before quickly realizing that he should not be sharing these details.

Yeah. I can’t tell them because sometimes they still employ us under code names. Did I just say something I shouldn’t have said?

For her part, Ozioma Akagha has taken the smart way out.

I… what’s his name, Spider-Man, he plays Spider-Man…. yeah, I’m Tom Holland in every way. They don’t tell me anything because I don’t know how to shut up. So, I don’t know anything about anything.

Looking back at Arkane’s history, the first Dishonored game received two story-based DLCs, The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches. On the other hand, the second game was followed by the standalone expansion Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. Prey, released by Arkane Austin, also got two expansions (Mooncrash and Typhon Hunter), though no new story was added.

At the moment it’s anyone’s guess what Arkane Lyon will do next with Deathloop, but we’ll be sure to report here as soon as any other official rumors or news become available. The base game is available on PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series S | X (including Game Pass).
