Samsung wants to finish rolling out One UI 5.0 before the end of this year

Samsung has always been very ambitious about updates. The company quickly rolled out the venerable One UI 5.0 update to almost all of its supported Galaxy phones, and some are still waiting. However, today they announced that the company will end its rollout in the next four days, which means that all devices that haven’t received the update will receive the update.

Samsung has released the One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 on more than 46 devices in less than 2 months

If you look at the number, it means that Samsung managed to update all supported devices (46 in total) to One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 in less than two months. So, as per Samsung’s promise, the remaining devices should also get the update in the coming days.

This is really a promising attempt by Samsung because, in the past, the company has been criticized for delaying the update. I mean, this is the same company that managed to get into a row with Google a few times over the handling of Android and updates in general, and now it’s the second fastest company to deliver the latest updates, only beaten by Google of course.

My wife and I have been using the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update on the Galaxy A52s and Galaxy S22 Ultra, respectively, and everything about the new update has been excellent. Theme support, as well as overall battery life, animations, transitions, and user experience are exemplary. I never thought I’d leave Nova Launcher for a first-party launcher, but Samsung struck the perfect balance and gave us the ultimate Android experience. On top of it all, the company’s dedication to ensuring timely updates is nothing short of impressive.
