Rogue Trader Alpha launches next week

Developer Owlcat Games confirmed today that Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader alpha will launch next week.

From December 7th, all those who support developers by purchasing the Digital Developer Pack or Collector’s Edition will be able to access the alpha and get their first upcoming role-playing experience.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader has been released on PC on a date yet to be confirmed. You can learn more about Owlcat Games’ upcoming big cRPG with the overview below.

Explore the vastness of Corones.
Traverse incredible distances in your giant void, traveling between many systems across the Koronus Expanse, a barely charted and incredibly perilous region of space. Although considered a backwater of the Imperium, this region contained a vast expanse of void filled with vast opportunities for profit and exploration.

Your decisions matter, Lord Captain.
Show your subjects mercy or contempt, stay loyal to the Divine Emperor, or consort with the enemies of the human race – every decision and every action of the Rogue Trader sends waves throughout the sector, changing the game world and those who inhabit it.

Gather your crew.
Fraudulent traders never travel alone. Gather your retinue, which may include holy warriors, twisted souls, and treacherous Xenos. They are all ready to follow you into the interstellar darkness. They will give you advice, help you in battle, and allow you to get more power. In turn, you can guide them through their personal journeys, changing their destinies forever.

Plan your actions carefully.
Slay the enemies of humanity in a complete turn-based combat system. Make use of cover, environment and precise location to outwit your enemies. When that’s not enough – use your companion’s powerful abilities to change the tide of battle and achieve victory in even the worst of situations. Our video game adaptation of the classic Rogue Trader ruleset gives you a huge number of possibilities to explore.
