Ocarina Of Time Fan Made Remake is updated to Unreal Engine 5.1 in a new Christmas special edition

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is one of the best games ever made, so it’s no surprise that dedicated fans are working on fan-made remakes taking advantage of the latest technology, something Nintendo isn’t likely to do in the foreseeable future. .

Among these versions, the most interesting is the one developed by CryZENx, which has recently been ported to Unreal Engine 5 for much better visuals. Now, the new version has been updated to Unreal Engine 5.1 with its latest release, a Christmas special that does a great job showcasing the lighting improvements provided by Lumen.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time CryZENx Christmas Special Edition can be downloaded for free right now by heading here. More information about the project can be found on the developer’s Discord server.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is among the better entries in the Nintendo series, but the Japanese publisher doesn’t seem interested in remaking it anytime soon, focusing on developing new entries in the series, such as Tears of the Kingdom, a sequel to Breath of the Wild. The only official version was the one released on the Nintendo 3DS, which introduced better visuals, quality of life improvements, and some new features.

In this game, Link embarks on an epic journey through time to stop Ganondorf, the Gerudo King of Thieves who is searching for the Triforce, a sacred relic that grants its bearer ultimate power. Graphical upgrades and 3D depth breathe new life into the vast world of Hyrule. An improved and intuitive interface, along with easier navigation provided by playing in a 3D visual world, gives players better control while solving puzzles, traveling through time, and exploring this immersive world.
