NVIDIA has leaked and confirmed the same GeForce RTX 4070 Ti specs which are in line with everything we’ve heard before.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is a revamped 12GB RTX 4080 card, Green Team claims up to 3.5x faster than RTX 3080 with RT-Overdrive
The specs, nor the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti’s performance are anything to woo about considering we’ve seen them on multiple occasions before. As expected, the RTX 4070 Ti will feature the same specs as the RTX 4080 12GB which was launched by the green team. We were able to see some performance numbers for the 4080 12GB that showed performance that was very close to the RTX 3090 Ti and exceeded in heavy RT titles.

However, the benchmarks NVIDIA has shown so far have relied heavily on DLSS3 and the latest ones go a step further and use RT-Overdrive mode when comparing the RTX 4070 Ti to the RTX 3080. With RT-Overdrive enabled, the RTX 4070 Ti ends up up to 3.5x faster than RTX 3080 12GB graphics card. Even without RT-Overdrive the card shows almost 2x gain but that’s again with DLSS 3 (Frame-Generation) enabled.

Now while these are official performance numbers, we’d like to advise our readers to wait for the final reviews arriving next week before making their final decisions on whether the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is worth the price and performance or is it better to get something else.
“Official” NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB Specifications
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will use an “Ada Lovelace” AD104-400 GPU configuration with 7680 cores or 60 SMs enabled which is a full fat SKU. The GPU will pack 48MB of L2 cache and feature a 192-bit bus interface, which is why we get up to 12GB of GDDR6X capacities. The memory is said to run at 21Gbps for a memory bandwidth of 504GB/s. The card is said to be clocked at 2610MHz but the peak frequency will be higher.
- “Official” NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB Graphics Card TBP – 285 watts
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB TBP “Official” – 290 watts
In terms of power, the TBP is now set to be rated at 285W which is a 35W drop versus the RTX 3080 10GB model and a 5W drop from the RTX 3070 Ti. The new graphics card is expected to perform better than the RTX 3080, but looking at specs beyond the 4080 16GB, there will be a significant gap between both models of about 30-40%.
