Sonic Frontiers features a large amount of unused content, based on a new video shared online recently.
The video, which was put together by ĐeäTh, is an incredibly fun watch, as it touches on things like different enemy positions, cyberspace locations and more. The video also confirms that at one point, Rhea was an actual island, not the very short challenge area included in the final version of the game.
Sonic Frontiers may not be a perfect game, but it is definitely much better than most of the 3D entries in the franchise that have been released in the past. As I point out in my review, a few tweaks here and there could create much better games that could bring the franchise back to its glory days.
Sonic Frontiers may not be the best Sonic the Hedgehog game ever, but it’s definitely at the top level of the franchise. The new open world formula works surprisingly well even with its issues, the cyberspace stages and battles are well designed, engaging and most of all, fun. With a few tweaks, the Sonic Frontiers formula could be the foundation for the franchise moving forward, potentially returning it to its glory days.
Sonic Frontiers is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch worldwide.
