Marvel’s Midnight Suns – Five tips on getting started

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a tactical RPG developed by Firaxis Games, which combines deep gameplay mechanics with a strong storyline that is likely to keep you glued to the screen for days. The game follows the actions of The Hunter, a new customizable superhero designed for the Midnight Suns by Firaxis and Marvel.

The game is full of side activities along with the main story. It provides a lot of options for players, which can unlock new cards, upgrade their abilities, increase their friendship level with other characters, and much more. So, we’ve put together five valuable tips and tricks to help get you started with Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

Don’t be afraid to redraw a card

Marvel’s Midnight Suns let you repaint during battles. This option can be a real game changer, so don’t be afraid to use it. You might think that the perfect opportunity to use a particular card will come eventually, but it doesn’t always end up as you would like it to. The remapping feature gives you a chance to get better cards, so you can easily swap out a healing card you may have had early in the battle for a more useful one. The card you decide to discard will go back to the bottom of your deck, so you won’t lose it. Furthermore, Redraw unlocks new combat options for specific heroes, such as Iron Man.

Take advantage of chain blade attacks

Blade is a great hero to play with and one of the strongest in the game. He can chain attacks that will hit different enemies or a single enemy multiple times. He can also cause a Bleed status effect with certain cards, and using them together generates excellent combos. For example, with Make them bleed card, you can apply 2 Bleed with the next 3 damage cards you use, creating a devastating effect if combined with Chain Attack cards. As you might have already imagined, the Bleed status effect will gradually eat away at enemies’ health, taking damage at every turn.

Use the environmental elements to your advantage

Marvel’s Midnight Suns allows you to use environmental items on the battlefield at your convenience, dealing additional damage to your enemies. You can use the Knockback effect associated with different cards to do this. Simply set a target, and head in your preferred direction for potential points of impact. For example, you can quickly eliminate minions and inflict massive damage on more dangerous targets. You need to confirm the direction of attack and push them towards environmental objects, heroes or enemies. Moreover, you can use many different items on the battlefield for environmental attacks that will consume the tournament but not card game. Remember that you can move and reposition heroes to get the perfect angle of environmental attack.

Make friends with everyone

In Marvel’s Midnight Suns, you get to choose which heroes will follow you during battle. However, many of the missions have specific requirements that must be followed, and you will find yourself playing with each hero multiple times. You can level up your in-game friendship experience by talking to them and spending time together so you can unlock new abilities, combos, and other perks that will be extremely useful on the battlefield. That said, you should not focus on just one or two of them, but instead try to level them all up. This way, you will have an easier time during most fights.

Charlie’s Pet

You must remember to pet Charlie every day you are in the game. If you want to make your dog stronger, this is the only thing you need to do. It may sound easy, but with the number of repetitive tasks you have, it’s easy to forget to do it every day. Later in the game, you will have the opportunity to summon Charlie during battles to help you fight enemies, but you will not be able to do this if you forget about this creature and do not give the dog enough attention and hugs. This animal can be one of your strongest allies, but only if it is properly housed.
