Apple continues to work on compact tablets since there is likely still a use case for such a product. After the iPad mini 6 will be the iPad mini 7, according to an analyst, who also provides a small amount of information regarding its potential launch schedule.
Apple could also delay the launch of the iPad mini 7 to early 2024, possibly due to ongoing economic conditions
The prediction was made by TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, stating that Apple could begin mass shipments of the iPad mini 7 by the end of 2023. This statement indicates that the smaller slate could launch sometime in the fourth quarter of 2020. 2023, but Kuo also says there’s a possibility that mass shipments could happen in the first half of 2024.
Given that there is an ongoing economic downturn, we think that Apple will probably wait until the storm passes and then proceed to release the iPad mini 7. After all, it doesn’t make sense to put a product into mass production and have a few people buy it because its budget is reduced as a result of constant inflation. Kuo believes that the selling point of the iPad mini 7 will be the SoC.
Unfortunately, the analyst does not provide any information about the chipset that Apple could be using to power it. However, given that the iPad mini 6 uses A15 Bionic, the iPad mini 7 can take advantage of the 4nm A16 Bionic found in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Even then, if Apple doesn’t price the device competitively, consumers may not be drawn to it, especially when the iPad mini 6 is on sale at discounted prices right now.
We also have no reason to believe that Apple needs to change the design of the iPad mini 7. As such, it could have the same 8.3-inch IPS LCD display, but we hope that the tablet will get an increase in the amount of RAM and the number of camera sensors on the back so that There will be some differentiation between the two generations of the product.
