Galaxy S23 Ultra pays a visit to TENNA, key specifications revealed

If all goes accordingly, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 series early next year around the world. Over the past few months, we’ve seen several leaks about the hardware, including that all Galaxy S23 phones worldwide will feature an exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 version.

Today, we have some news about the Galaxy S23 Ultra as the phone made its way through the TENNA certification, revealing almost everything we need to know about the upcoming Samsung giant, well, we have some information to highlight.

Galaxy S23 Ultra will have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 200MP camera, 5,000mAh battery, and more

Based on TENNA’s certification, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will bear the model number SM-G9180 (although it will change based on the region). The phone will have a 6.8-inch screen with QHD+ resolution and the same refresh rate is supposed to be 120Hz. The specs are eerily similar to those we found on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but we know Samsung will be using new and improved panels this time around.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 AC variant which will be faster than the standard AB variant found in other devices. You’ll also get 8 and 12GB of RAM options, accompanied by the standard storage options of 256/512/1TB depending on which region you’re in.

Moving on to the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s optics, this is probably the best thing about the upcoming flagship. You’ll get a new 1-inch sensor with a resolution of 200MP. You’ll also get a 12MP wide camera and two 12MP ultrawide cameras with 3x and 10x optical zoom. Up front, you’re looking at a 12MP unit, which may be a disappointment from the sound of the 40MP sensor on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Galaxy S23 Ultra will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery. However, the certification documents show a capacity of 4,855 mAh, which is common practice.

It’s safe to say that by looking at the Galaxy S23 Ultra, you can tell that this phone looks a lot like the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Based on previous leaks, we know that the phone will look identical to its predecessor, with the biggest differences being under the hood, such as an upgraded process and better cameras. Of course, Samsung will use its software magic to make the phone even better.
