GALAX prepares DDR5-8000 HOF memory and HOF PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSDs for CES unveiling

GALAX is getting ready to launch all-new HOF products at CES 2023 that will include next-generation DDR5 memory and PCIe Gen 5.0 SSDs. From MT, it promises heavy performance, and the image offers a peek at the RGBs in the module. It is expected to be released on Friday, just before Christmas.

GALAX Introduces Next Generation HOF Products Including DDR5-8000 Memory and PCIe Gen 5.0 NVMe SSD

The new HOF memory module is a change from previous GALAX designs. IT Home notes that the HOF logo is outlined with a portion of the RGB on the unit, confirming that the memory will be part of a high-performance suite. The expected speed of the new GALAX memory module is expected to feature DDR5 speeds of up to 8000Mbps making it one of the fastest DRAM modules on the planet for enthusiast PCs.

GALAX also releases the new HOF PCIe 5.0 SSD which includes a central fan for more convenient heat dissipation. The new SSD will also be part of the HOF family and will have a read speed of 12GB/s. Both products will be at CES 2023 next year, but it will be exciting to see them on Friday when they launch.

GALAX isn’t the only company introducing or soon to be releasing DDR5-8000 memory modules. NETAC, G.Skill, TeamGroup, and Zhiqi have all hinted or revealed new memory modules for next-generation computers. Currently, overclocking enthusiasts see great use in pushing systems to their limits with unique DDR5-8000 memory kits. There is a need for higher memory speeds, as processors and graphics cards require higher memory speeds to deliver high levels of performance, whether it be workloads or next-level graphics.

Maintaining temperatures on the newer DDR5-8000 memory modules required leaps and bounds in finding just the right combination of cooling technologies. Larger heatsinks are more present in the DDR5-8000 modules we’ve seen so far, and by the looks of the teaser for the new GALAX memory, it appears the same follows from its design.

CES 2023 will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the number of exhibitors reaching 2,400 (up from last week), and more than 100,000 people expected to walk the floor. Many companies will participate in Media Days (January 3-4, 2023), where many presentations will be made both online and in person. On January 5 and 6, 2023, attendees will be able to meet many of the cast, and see what products will be released in the year and in the future.
