Elding Ring update 1.08.1 is rolling out across all platforms, fixing some unintended changes that came with last week’s Colosseum update 1.08.
The free Colosseum update was released on December 6th. This update focused on player versus player (PvP) combat in arenas, but apparently, this patch also introduced some issues that were not intended. As such, Bandai Namco has now rolled out a new update that fixes these issues, including a bug that prevented other players’ locations from displaying correctly on the compass. We’ve included the patch notes, as released by Bandai Namco and FromSoftware, below:

The Elden Ring is now available worldwide. FromSoftware’s title was released in February of this year and has sold over 17.5 million copies as of October 2022. Here’s what we wrote about the game in our review at launch:
When it comes to games from Software, a brand new exploration mechanic is horse riding, which is essential in an open world game. Shortly after starting the game, players will get the Spectral Steed Whistle and thus the means to summon Torrent and more. Explore the lands in between. Horse riding It feels incredibly smooth and responsive and is a very welcome addition to the formula, not only for exploration but also for combat situations. To some truly epic intense combat sequences. To give an example, I was fighting the Tree Sentinel boss (which can be fought from the start of the game). After a grueling fight , was able to take away the boss’s health for a near-death. From the uses of Sacred Flask, I started to load up the boss, risking everything on my next strike, and it does the same when it suddenly starts raining. It’s these little touches of open world design that elevate Elden Communication on a whole other level.”
