Death Stranding 2 will be released in 2024 according to the first artist profile

The address is clear and direct. This leak talks about the upcoming release dates for some PlayStation titles. Found by PCGameAbout, this information highlights the release dates of major PlayStation Studios Visual Arts artists for Death Stranding 2, PlayStation’s first person shooter as well as Firewall Ultra.

According to artist Frank Alberti’s ArtStation profile, Death Stranding 2 and the first person shooter will have a release date sometime in 2024.

PCGameAbout also speculates that the “upcoming first-person shooter” mentioned on the Aliberti page is likely to involve Firewalk Studios, which has an exclusive agreement with Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2021 to release its first AAA multiplayer game under its wing. Currently, this is the only FPS project in which Sony’s PlayStation Studios is involved.

Of course, the real focus of attention will be the release date of Death Stranding 2. A game that has been mentioned as more than just a “normal sequel” by game creator Hideo Kojima. He also cynical that technological advances will allow new features to be added. While no release date has been announced for this project, a 2024 release window is out of the question.

Death Stranding 2 is currently in development for PlayStation 5. The game will use the Decima Engine and will be available exclusively on PS5. While the first game is available on PC, we wouldn’t be surprised if the game eventually makes it to the platform. Especially considering that Death Stranding was released on PC just eight months after it was released on PS4.

There is also a movie adaptation of the game in the works. Hideo Kojima will produce alongside Hammerstone Productions (Barbarian) for Alex Lebovici’s company, which is also financing the project. The movie won’t be treated as your usual movie project though, since it’s a tradition at this point.
