An older Steve Jobs is depicted in the latest image made by an artist using artificial intelligence

Many people will agree that Steve Jobs passed away before his time, while others will credit the fact that Apple would have been very different had the tech giant’s co-founder been alive today. With the help of artificial intelligence, an artist has been able to create a picture of the man behind the multi-billion dollar company as if he never left us.

The new image shows Steve Jobs rocking his iconic black full-sleeve T-shirt as if he’s preparing to take center stage at yet another Apple keynote.

Alper Yesiltas, an artist based in Turkey, made a series of images using artificial intelligence and using the hashtag #asifnothinghappened to display celebrities and well-known individuals as if they were alive right now. Among the many portraits, which include Princess Diana, James Gandolfini, Heath Ledger and others, there is a portrait of Steve Jobs.

The man behind the iPhone creation wears a familiar black long-sleeved T-shirt, looking healthier, less pallid and older. Assuming Jobs was alive today, he would have turned 67. Unfortunately, he died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 56. Since then, Tim Cook has taken over as CEO, overseeing the company and launching several products for more than a decade.

Given Steve Jobs’ distaste for stylus when he unveiled the first iPhone, he probably wasn’t too keen on the idea of introducing stylus support to iPad models or releasing an AR headset that could display mixed reality content. One can never really know what decisions one would have made to run the company and face the competition, but 2022 is a lot different than the landscape was in 2011, with some companies not as huge as they are now.
