All MSI X670 and B650 motherboards will be compatible and ready at launch with the latest BIOS version update “AGESA COMBO PI-1.0.0.4”.

MSI has 3 unique features to help users overclock their systems called Performance Switch, PBO Thermal Point and Config TDP with the new launch of AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors. Earlier this year, MSI introduced a brand new function called Performance Switch within the MSI BIOS. Performance Switch provides 3 levels of preset and an advanced option for users to choose from. It then combines both AMD’s “Precision Boost Overdrive” default PBO and MSI’s OC settings to deliver significantly higher CPU performance in both single-core and multi-core.

The next feature is called PBO Thermal Point. There will be various PBO thermal profiles for MSI that will allow the maximum CPU temperature to run which will be set thermal points 85°C, 75°C and 65°C. With these profile settings, the CPU will work less hard to maintain temperature limits which will allow your system to generate less heat and run cooler.

Last but not least, the feature is Config TDP. This is a neat and very handy feature for those who are not familiar with overclocking their CPU. MSI Exclusive’s Config TDP provides several preset profiles with different TDP settings in BIOS to choose from. This allows users not to worry and not want the hassle of manually making any settings tweaks as it will be just one configuration and done. Config TDP feature will be available for all MSI X670 and B650 chipset motherboards.
